Hurricane Isaac Repsonse
On August 30th, Rolling Hills Feeding Unit was activated to First Baptist Church of Covington, LA. The first rotation of 18 volunteers began the kitchen operation working with the American Red Cross to deliver meals to families in need. The operation officially closed down on September 10th. Disaster Relief responds to Homer Storms
On June 12th, Rolling Hills recieved a call that the Homer area was hit by what appeared to be straight line wind storm that placed trees on top of houses and many roads virtually impassable. By lunch, Disaster Relief assessors were on the ground and compiling information and by the end of the day the first chainsaw units were working. Ministry Plans for the Future
To say the last year and a half has been a challenge is an understatement. During that time, Rolling Hills opened its Arcadia Thrift Store/Ministry Center and completed a 7,000+ sq. ft. expansion to its Ruston facility. These are exciting days for the ministry! So where do we go from here? Currently the ministry is focused on becoming debt free.
